President & Chief Executive Officer
Eric Stoermer joined EOSi in 2004 after four years as a Chicago-based business consultant for McKinsey & Company, Inc. There he advised companies in the telecommunications, retail banking, and insurance sectors on sales and operations issues. He directed sales and marketing for infoUSA (American Business Information), where he was responsible for managing three operating units. He received a B.A. degree in economics from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Paul Togna, PhD (send email)
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Paul Togna was previously with Envirogen Technologies where he played a lead technical role in developing and implementing novel biological treatment systems for groundwater and industrial wastewater contaminant removal applications during his 19-year tenure at the company. Dr. Togna has published more than 75 technical papers in journals and proceedings and has delivered more than 60 technical presentations. Dr. Togna holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University.
Maurice Gutierrez (send email)
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Maurice Gutierrez guides the strategic growth of our sales and marketing team. He brings to EOSi over 20 years of sales, marketing and operations experience in the water treatment industry. Most recently, he was Vice President, General Manager of Environmental Management Corporation (EMC) where he implemented a business plan to grow EMC’s design, build and operate business increasing the company’s revenue. Prior to EMC, Maurice began his career in the water treatment industry as a technician and steadily assumed roles of greater responsibility. The companies he worked for include Drew Chemical/Ashland Water Services, a water treatment chemical and service provider to various industries, Vulcan Chemical Technologies, serving the food and beverage, municipal water treatment, and paper/industrial markets and Rio Linda Chemical Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vulcan Materials. Mr. Gutierrez received a B.S. Chemical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, served in the U.S. Navy as a naval officer and received a Masters in Business Administration from California State University.
Luke Pustejovsky (send email)
Vice President, Business Development
Luke Pustejovsky joined EOSi in 2012 to direct the Company's European expansion, source renewable products, and widen the technology portfolio to meet growth goals. Most recently, he was Director of Sales & Product Marketing of Calera Corporation, a Khosla Ventures-backed CO2 sequestration and bulk materials company in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Mr. Pustejovsky helped start and build the "green brick" business at CalStar Products as their Vice President of Business Development. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Harvard University and studied at the London School of Economics.
Gary Johnson, P.E., BCEE (send email)
Director of Process Engineering
Gary Johnson is chiefly responsible for helping new and existing EOSi customers to optimally utilize our MicroC™ products. Drawing on nearly 30 years in the wastewater industry, his detailed understanding of plant designs and processes is invaluable to implementing an effective denitrification system. He was most recently a senior project manager with Camp Dresser & McKee, Inc. (CDM). At the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, he was the Biological Nutrient Removal (BNR) expert for Connecticut’s implementation of an innovative pollution credit trading program. Mr. Johnson also led the technical review of over 45 advanced wastewater treatment plant nutrient removal projects, valued at over 700 million dollars. His work in developing the Connecticut nitrogen trading program was recognized by Engineering News Record when it awarded him with its 2004 News Maker Award. Mr. Johnson is a committee member on the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF) Nutrient Removal Challenge issues area team. He also serves on the Water Environment Federation (WEF) Municipal Design Committee. He is licensed as a professional engineer in Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, Vermont, Florida, and the US Virgin Islands. Gary received his Bachelors degree from Southern Connecticut State University. He received his Masters in Civil Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where he currently serves on the Civil and Environmental Engineering advisory board.
Samuel Ledwell (send email)
Director of Technical Development
Samuel Ledwell joined the EOSi team in September of 2003. Sam manages many of the company's technical efforts including product development, internal and external research activities and technical outreach to the water and wastewater communities. Mr. Ledwell also manages the supply chain, production, distribution and quality control of MicroC products. Mr. Ledwell oversees pilot testing of MicroC products and provides technical assistance to current and prospective MicroC users. He previously worked in the department of physical oceanography at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and in the neurology department at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is currently licensed as a grade 4 wastewater treatment operator. He holds a B.S. in biology with a minor in chemistry from Oregon State University and an MBA from Suffolk University.
Bradley Hice, P.E., LEED AP (send email)
BNR Specialist
Brad brings to EOSi a background in municipal wastewater treatment plant design, specific to nutrient removal. Brad was previously an Environmental Engineer for Stearns & Wheler GHD where he designed numerous BNR/ENR facilities including biological reactor systems and supplemental carbon storage and feed facilities. His responsibilities for EOSi include developing sales in the Mid Atlantic region and providing process support for new and existing BNR/ENR clients. Mr. Hice received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a M.E. in Environmental Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University.
